Something exciting is taking shape behind the scenes at Drummer Boy Hosting, and we’re getting closer to sharing it with you.

As we prepare to become CatholicWebHosting.com, we’re also getting ready to introduce something we’ve been working hard to bring to life: VerbumCMS, our new website-building and content management platform.

We’re targeting October 25k, 2026, for both our transition to CatholicWebHosting.com and the initial launch of VerbumCMS.

With that date approaching, we wanted to share some of our progress, introduce what we’re building, and give you a glimpse of what’s coming.

A New Name, and a Bigger Vision

Our transition from Drummer Boy Hosting to CatholicWebHosting.com represents more than a new name.

It’s an opportunity to rethink how we serve our customers and how we can make professional websites more accessible to the people and organizations who need them.

For nearly twenty years, we’ve helped customers establish their presence online. Now, we’re taking what we’ve learned and building tools that make creating and managing a website simpler, more enjoyable, and more powerful.

That’s where VerbumCMS comes in.

Beautiful Designs for Different Stories

One of the most exciting parts of developing VerbumCMS has been creating our growing collection of website themes.

We’ve been working on designs for Catholic parishes, fraternal and community organizations, businesses, portfolios, weddings, authors, bloggers, restaurants, and podcasters.

Each design has its own personality.

Some are elegant and traditional. Others are bold and contemporary. Some emphasize photography and storytelling, while others prioritize clarity, simplicity, and accessibility.

But all share the same underlying philosophy: great design should be beautiful, purposeful, and easy to use.

And we’re paying just as much attention to how these websites look and function on a phone as we are on a desktop computer.

More Than Just a Pretty Website

A beautiful design is only half the equation.

What happens when you need to update your website?

That’s where we’ve been investing much of our development effort.

VerbumCMS is being designed to give website owners control over their content, navigation, colors, typography, and page layouts without requiring them to understand the technology behind it.

We’re also building specialized tools for different types of websites.

For example, a parish website may need Mass and Confession schedules, while a restaurant needs a way to manage its menu. A podcaster has entirely different needs, including organizing episodes, hosts, and audio content.

Rather than forcing everyone into the same generic system, we want VerbumCMS to adapt to the people using it.

Two of our newest designs offer a glimpse of that vision.

A Restaurant Website That Feels Like the Restaurant

Our restaurant theme brings together rich photography, inviting storytelling, chef profiles, and a dedicated menu experience.

The design can be adapted to reflect the character of a Japanese kitchen, a neighborhood Mexican restaurant, or a contemporary dining room.

Behind the scenes, we’re building a dedicated menu manager that lets restaurant owners organize dishes, categories, and descriptions through an intuitive dashboard.

It’s a practical example of how VerbumCMS combines beautiful design with tools that make everyday website management easier.

We’re also laying the groundwork for additional capabilities, including online ordering in a future release.

A New Home for Podcasters

We’re equally excited about our podcast theme.

Designed around a modern listening experience, it gives podcasters a professional home for their shows, episodes, and audiences.

Our dedicated Podcast Manager is being developed to support episode scheduling, show notes, transcripts, chapters, hosts, guests, and audio playback.

We’re also planning future membership and payment features to support creators who want to offer free and premium listening experiences.

The goal is to give creators a website that does more than simply link to their content elsewhere.

We want to give them a place they can truly call their own.

Built With Catholic Organizations in Mind

Although VerbumCMS is being designed to serve a wide range of websites, our Catholic identity remains at the heart of what we’re building.

Catholic parishes and ministries have unique needs that traditional website platforms don’t always address well.

Mass schedules, Confession times, parish ministries, sacramental information, and community events shouldn’t require complicated workarounds.

We want those features to feel like a natural part of managing a Catholic website.

And we want the people responsible for keeping those websites updated—often parish staff and volunteers—to feel confident doing so.

For CatholicWebHosting.com, VerbumCMS represents an important step toward our larger vision: building technology that genuinely serves the Church and the people working within it.

Getting Closer to Launch

There’s still work to be done.

We’re continuing to refine our themes, improve mobile experiences, test publishing workflows, and connect the designs to the tools that will power them.

We’re excited about the progress we’ve made, but we’re equally committed to getting the details right.

October 25, 2026, remains our target launch date, and we’ll continue sharing updates and previews as we get closer.

For existing Drummer Boy Hosting customers, our transition to CatholicWebHosting.com does not mean losing your existing hosting services or accounts. Our commitment to serving you remains unchanged.

What we’re building is an expansion of that commitment.

The Next Chapter Is Almost Here

When we announced that Drummer Boy Hosting was becoming CatholicWebHosting.com, we shared our hope of building something that would serve the Church and our customers for decades to come.
